Blackwood Bowling Club (BBC) is located in the heart of Blackwood immediately behind the Catholic Church. Blackwood Bowling Club has been providing bowling opportunities and a cordial club environment since 1935. The club boasts three first class synthetic greens and a recently refurbished clubroom and bar.
Our On greens program includes Pennant Bowls (Saturday, Wednesday and Thursday), Social Bowls, Saturday and Wednesday during the winter months and Mondays during summer months. Night Owls are played during the summer months on either a Tuesday or Wednesday evening.
Off the greens, members enjoy monthly Friday Night Dinners and of course there is our very popular Melbourne Cup Luncheon.
Lawn Bowls is an all inclusive sport catering for ALL ages, sexes, physiques and most disabilities. The game can be played at a competitive level or socially or barefoot on a hot balmy night or simply enjoying a roll up. Lawn Bowls is one of the CHEAPEST sports you will ever play. You should never lose your bowl and it can be played all year round on our synthetic greens. After mastering your bowls on the greens you can enjoy liquid refreshments at very competitive prices in our refurbished clubrooms.

BBC is a 100% volunteer organisation.
A volunteer club offers its members and opportunity to fund raise and see the fruits of their labour go 100% towards member benefits.
If you are looking for that something extra in your life, volunteering is a richly rewarding endeavour. A Bowling Club in many regard is like a social club for our female members and a Mens Shed for the male members as they prepare the greens, undertake projects around the club or simply enjoy each other company over a roll up (bowl a few ends and no scoring)
Lawn Bowls will get you out of the house or away from work! It will get you outside in the fresh air and is a sport that is quickly leant, yet never mastered!
If extreme heat is an issue do not worry! Games are not played when temperatures reaches or exceed 36 (ladies) or 38 (men).
